Although this thing is visible all over West Berlin, it’s quite hard to find an interesting photo perspective. Hint: Don’t take fences too seriously. ;-)

Swallow (german: Schwalbe) is the name of a popular GDR scooter model. It was built from 1958 to 1986 by Simson in Thuringia. More than a quarter of a century after it’s production has been stopped, there is still a huge flock of those birds breeding in Berlin. Maybe their habit of mating shamelessly in more or less dark corners saved them from extinction so far.
I absolutely love tubes. Especially when they really bother finding a funny way through the world.
