Swallow (german: Schwalbe) is the name of a popular GDR scooter model. It was built from 1958 to 1986 by Simson in Thuringia. More than a quarter of a century after it’s production has been stopped, there is still a huge flock of those birds breeding in Berlin. Maybe their habit of mating shamelessly in more or less dark corners saved them from extinction so far.
Although Barcelona is famous for its Art nouveau architecture, you can find some interesting Art déco buildings there. The scooter clearly indicates that this is not New York City … ;-)
